What is new at Furrie Haven

Hey there everyone!

Some new things are going on at Furrie Haven.
First off, the forum is growing wonderfully. And yet, we are keeping our small forum feel. New friends are being made, and the warmth of family is still very much a strong part of this forum.

We are going to be having a PodKast for Furrie Haven. Many of our talented members will be contributing to it. You can check out more info at this thread. http://www.furriehaven.com/forum/index. ... g58844#new
Our Podcast Dj will be our very own Roo Fursworth.
Once we are fully set up, I will post schedules and updates on it.

Thanks to the hard work of Seth Triggs, we now have a functional working Art Gallery,
Feel free members to sign up. It is the Coppermine Gallery, Which means members can have their own galleries. Just know that an Admin has to activate your account.

And speaking of hard work. I want to thank the hard work of my staff for tweaking the site, as well as to my mods for keeping the forum in such a wonderful state. And of course to my members for being kickass!

Down Time at Furrie Haven

Ever go on a trip somewhere, and while you're on the trip a sense of foreboding falls over you?
And you don't know what could possibly be wrong. You shut the oven off, fed the cat, hid your sex toys, set the alarm, locked the door, and all the other necessary things you need to do while you're away..and yet...Something is still wrong..but What?!

So when you get back home..everything Looks ok..and then...you find it. oi.

Well that's what happened to me. to Us. I went away for the weekend, and came home and the forum is down.

Ok all silliness aside. The update is this.
Apparently, I ran out of MySQL space, So Seth did some cleanup and we got space back.

Now, we are just waiting for everything on the server's end to be updated. Hopefully we'll be back tomorrow!

Cross your paws everyone! And I'm Really sorry for the inconvenience. I'll keep you posted!

What's new at Furrie Haven

Oh where shall I begin?

Why, at the begining of course! ^__^

Ok, First you'll find there are new links on the side there. We have Member Blogs. With loads of cool features. We now have a working Gallary, and after such a long wait, we now have a fully functional Story Archive!

And here, I wish to thank those that had put thier personal time and effort into making all of this possible.

Shadowe and Seth Triggs, Without them, all of these really cool features would not have been possible.

Shadowe has done the blogs, as well as the homepage, and the really sweet looking portal leading to our haven.

Thank you Shadowe, for all of your hard work. You've done such a wonderful job, and I'm honored that you took the time to do all of this. You truely are the Coonie Coder ^^

Seth, Oh hun, I wish I could put into words just what you've done for me. Seth has added the gallary, and the story archive. He's been super patient with me, and helped me through all the set ups. Seth, Thank you so much for bringing the site all that much closer to what I've been working so hard to achieve.

Upgrades?

I've been thinking about upgrading the forum to Phpbb3. Any thoughts on that? From what I've been able to see, it looks pretty good. However, I am rather nervouse about losing everything on the board now. I'll open a disscussion about it on the forum.

More News!

The Gallary will be going through a change. I am not impressed with Coppermine gallery. It's difficult for both the user and the admins [Aka me.] So I will be changing it sometime in the near future. I'll let you all know when!

I'm Searching!

Furrie Haven is constently going through changes to improve for our members. As always I'm always looking for new things for the site. However there is one thing I've been looking for since the conception of Furrie Haven. And that is a good Story Archive script that is easy to use in the back end as well as the front end for our writers. If anyone knows of one that will work for phpbb2 Please please let me know!

Furrie Haven 2.0 Has Arrived!

Well, as you may be able to see. Furrie Haven 2.0 is ready to roll out the gates. We have a few style issues to deal with, and some other access things to discuss, but all in all, the main site is now updated!

Shadowe has been working on this for a few weekends now. His immediate concern was the hacking of several large sites in the recent past and our vulnerability to attack. Our old site was plain html. FH2.0 is now using the new PHP blogging system that is also available to our members for a low annual fee.

We also have reached 20,000 posts and well over 100 members to date. This system will allow easier management of the system. We are hoping to have the PHPbb errors repaired and updated in the near future.

The new system allows our moderators to make changes and add important announcements on the main site. It also makes life a lot easier for the Kewt Kitty Admin (aka ME ^^) to make changes as I see fit.

So here we are, the old homepage will fade into the sunset, and FH 2.0 will begin.
